Cooking Instructions
Frying Pan Cooking Method
- For the batter, add yeast to 110ml of warm water, stir evenly, then add 1 pack of Hotteok Mix (197g) and mix the batter.
- For shaping, take some batter and spread it wide on your palm, add jam mix inside, and carefully seal it to prevent bursting.
- Preheat a frying pan and add oil. Place the sealed side of the batter facing down in the pan. When the underside turns golden brown, flip it over, press flat with a spatula, and cook both sides.
- Once cooked, let the Hotteok cool for about 5 minutes, then cut it in half and fill it with seed mix.
TIP 1
The ideal water temperature for the batter is about 40 to 45°C. Mix cold and hot water in a 2:1 ratio.
TIP 2
The seed mix tastes best when filled inside the Hotteok after cooking.
