Cooking Instructions

Frying Pan Cooking Method

  1. For the batter, add yeast to 110ml of warm water, stir evenly, then add 1 pack of Hotteok Mix (197g) and mix the batter.
  2. For shaping, take some batter and spread it wide on your palm, add jam mix inside, and carefully seal it to prevent bursting.
  3. Preheat a frying pan and add oil. Place the sealed side of the batter facing down in the pan. When the underside turns golden brown, flip it over, press flat with a spatula, and cook both sides.
  4. Once cooked, let the Hotteok cool for about 5 minutes, then cut it in half and fill it with seed mix.

TIP 1

The ideal water temperature for the batter is about 40 to 45°C. Mix cold and hot water in a 2:1 ratio.

TIP 2

The seed mix tastes best when filled inside the Hotteok after cooking.
