Historical Story

Bulguksa Temple is a historic stone temple built during the Unified Silla period in 751 A.D. It is considered a masterpiece of Buddhist architecture, symbolizing the spiritual culture of ancient Korea. The temple features Dabotap and Seokgatap pagodas which are national treasures, showcasing the advanced stone masonry and artistic skills of the time.

The temple complex includes multiple halls and pagodas laid out harmoniously on the hillside. It was rebuilt and restored multiple times due to damage incurred over time. Today, Bulguksa represents the Buddhist heritage and artistic accomplishments of Korea's golden age.
