A. You may often see soft-shelled blue crabs with fallen legs. Unlike swimming crabs, blue crabs shed their swimming legs for swimming and if they get caught in a net, they give up the rest of their legs to protect their eggs. It is a natural biological reason that the legs fall off frequently.

A. No. It’s hard to judge by missing legs alone whether a crab is Grade B.
To clarify, here are photos: Crabs with lost legs can happen during sieving or transportation.
However, the quality of the crab is determined by its eggs, flesh, and freshness.
